The earth’s surface is irregular. Undulating and varied. Shaped by a violent geological past and continuously altered by a sundry of natural processes. Human beings, however, like level planes. We feel comfortable on flat, predictable surfaces. Retaining walls are the tools we as landscape contractors use to shape the earth’s surface into functional spaces, we humans like to be in.
Retaining walls have a wide array of materials from which they can be constructed. Natural products such as natural veneer on masonry block, snapped bluestone, fieldstone and boulders are beautiful solutions. Manmade products such as decorative concrete block and cultured stone veneer offer a vast selection of patterns, textures, and colors.
